Site Description
The Feast of Tabernacles in the West African nation of Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) will be celebrated in La Mé, about one hour’s drive out of the commercial capital of Abidjan. Services will be in French and attendance will be about 25 people.
Côte d’Ivoire has suffered greatly in the recent civil unrest and war that lasted several years. Though the open combat has finally ceased, the country is still in a state of instability, and the infrastructure has been heavily damaged. There is a significant UN peacekeeping presence in the country. The U.S. State Department has issued a travel warning about Cote d’Ivoire, concerning both Abidjan and areas outside Abidjan.
