Oxnard 2025 attendees!
I hope you are as excited about this year’s Feast of Tabernacles as we are! You should have received an email with links to our activity descriptions and schedule. There will be another email with more information about activities and how to sign up, but I wanted to get this to everyone as soon as possible.
This year we have several catered meals you can purchase that the Staybridge Suites will provide for us. We are securing these meals for your convenience, but also to meet our food and beverage requirements to use their facility. We have three opportunities to eat and fellowship with other members. The opening day lunch buffet before afternoon services, a dinner and dance evening plated meal and a luncheon between services on the Last Great Day.
We also must provide catering with the number of seniors that will attend the seniors’ luncheon. This is free to seniors aged 60 and up (and their spouses). If you are a senior and plan on attending our senior luncheon, please indicate the number of people coming. You will note that this luncheon will be free of charge.

Housing deadline reminder
To all going to Oxnard, please be aware of the following regarding housing. Most will stay at the Staybridge Suites, and we encourage you to if you can. You need to make your reservations BEFORE July 1 (less than a month) to ensure you get a room at this facility. After July 1, if there are contracted rooms available you will still get the Church’s rate, but if we have filled our housing block, you will not get our rate and will have to pay a much higher fee. Please make your reservations soon. I will not be able to negotiate on your behalf if you book after July 1. Staybridge Suites sales coordinator, Donna, will be able to assist you. Her number is 805-604-4949.
I will be following up soon with other information about Oxnard – but this one is important enough I wanted it to be its own email.

We need musicians!
Dear fellow Feast-goers in Oxnard,
We are told in the Psalms to praise God, especially on His solemn Feast days.
Psalm 81:1-3
"Sing aloud to God our strength; make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob. Raise a song and strike the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the lute. Blow the trumpet at the time of the New Moon, at the full moon, on our solemn feast day."
In order to do this properly, we are in need of musicians. Currently, we have one pianist and eight choir members.
We need more volunteers to help with music at the Feast in Oxnard. If you have sung before, please consider joining our small company.
Please go to the COGWA Portal and click "Manage Registration." When you get to your Feast registration page, you’ll see a big green banner in the middle of the page that says “Go to Service Area & Music Volunteering.”
Click there and indicate your information.
If you have any specific questions, please contact our Oxnard special music coordinator, Scott Lord. He can be reached best via email at [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you (and hearing you) at the Feast this year!
