Site Description
This year the Feast will be at the Monte Mae Sot Hotel located at 699, Moo.1 Mae Pa, Mae Sot District, Mae Sot, Tak Province, 63110, Thailand. Mae Sot is a small city in the western part of Thailand bordering the country of Myanmar. Mae Sot is one of the gateways of trade between Thailand and Myanmar with significant trade in gems and teak. A reasonable portion of the population consists of Burmese migrants and refugees.
The Monte Mae Sot Hotel will be the location of services and we encourage our members to avail of the convenience of the hotel. A full buffet breakfast will be included in the room rate. A double room will cost approximately $40 per night. We are expecting approximately 20-25 local members for the Feast and we welcome our foreign guests. However, space is limited.
Thailand has a well-developed tourist industry allowing visitors an array of places to visit before and after the Feast. There are daily flights between Mae Sot and Bangkok.
The weather in September and October is warm with some rain.
