Site Description
This year we plan to have the Feast of Tabernacles in Sierra de la Ventana, Argentina. This picturesque and touristic town in the south of Argentina is located about 450 miles south of Buenos Aires and only 60 miles from the city of Bahia Blanca.
As many of you know, the economic situation of Argentina has not been stable for the last few years. Because of that, the members of the Church in this country have had lots of financial problems in attending the Feast. The cost of housing and transportation for the Feast for the local members has raised significantly every year. Because of the devaluation of the Argentinian peso, the cost of the Feast for brethren from other countries is very affordable.
This year we have opted to meet for services and activities in a big tent. Everybody (about 150 local brethren) is going to stay in cabins situated in a walking distance from the tent. There are many options of cabins to choose from.
The closest city to Sierra de la Ventana is Bahia Blanca, where the main congregation for Argentina is located. Bahia Blanca has an airport, but unfortunately there are not direct flights from other countries. All of the flights from other countries must fly first to Buenos Aires and then to Bahia Blanca. From Bahia Blanca to Sierra de la Ventana there is a lot of ground transportation.
There will not be translation into English, so only Spanish speaking brethren will be accepted.
